What to fire, what to save, and what the workbench should make first.

Weapons and Items Tier

Classes decide your opening kit. The ground and the workbench decide whether that kit still works at hive level 6. This page ranks the tools players actually search for: ketchup guns, spatulas, the guitar, pads, lights, and the junk that fills chests. It complements the class tier list, it does not replace it.

S — keep forever

  • Goober Guitar (GG Rockstar). Energy instead of ketchup. This is why the class sits in S. Upgrade energy restore or the late game feels like a toy.
  • Quickster Pad. Not a weapon. It is the reason far escorts happen before dusk. Steer it like a vehicle, not a joke.
  • Pirate Compass + Treasure Map. Cheap crafts, huge time save. Ranked here because a lost squad dies more than an under-gunned one.

A — strong with a caveat

  • Ketchup Blaster. Deletes early guards and can save two residents if you aim. Ammo is scarce. Save mags for Sandy and the SpongeBob maze. Pioneer’s save-ammo perk is the only reason to spray earlier.
  • Spatula (police stations). Easy to find, honest melee, no energy bar. A squad can kit everyone if they visit stations on purpose.
  • Flashlight. Sea Bear stun tool. Not optional on a night walk. See Sea Bear.
  • Medkit / stacked bandages. Doctor converts these into raid continues.

B — situational

  • Doodle Pencil + poison. High skill, high wipe if you facetank.
  • Mercenary Cutlass. Great open, replace when a better melee drops.
  • Sea Mines. Excellent on a door you already control. Useless if you plant them in your own circle.
  • Bamboo walls. Help skeletons, do not replace hive light.
  • Good Net. Jelly income. Craft when the hive is the bottleneck, not when you are already level 6.

C — use and forget

  • Starter melee sticks and random chest greys.
  • Extra flashlights once one is hotbarred.
  • Low-tier beds after you own a single sleep tool.
  • Food that rots because you never held a keeper item. Getting started covers the keeper habit.

D — time traps

  • Chests that take a long hold and spit junk while a raid timer ticks.
  • Cosmetic-only bag fillers during an escort.
  • A second pad for a player who already crashed the first one into a brute.

Chest discipline is a weapon rank

A chest that takes a long hold while the sky turns is a D-tier weapon that damages the run. Leave it. A chest next to a police spatula is A-tier because you came for the spatula. The interact key is not a loot slot machine you are obligated to finish.

If a script offers instant open, that is listed on auto farm as a tell, not as a recommendation. Legit players should still learn which buildings are worth the hold.

Ammo economy

Ketchup is a boss resource. Spatulas and energy weapons are the everyday resource. If your whole squad is on blasters, you will lose the maze even if the day counter looks pretty. Mix kits using solo versus team.

Drag extra world items when the bag is full. A key on the ground is an A-tier “weapon” because it opens the campaign. Scrap pile number four is not.

Craft order: workbench and crafting planner. Class bodies that spawn these items: classes. Still unlocking the bench? Getting started.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

What is the best weapon?

Goober Guitar for late raids, spatula for everyday melee, ketchup blaster for saved burst. Do not make the whole squad use ketchup.

Where do spatulas drop?

Police stations are the reliable farm. Compass there on purpose instead of hoping chests pity you.

Is the Quickster Pad worth crashing?

The pad is S-tier only if you can steer. Practice near the hive before you take it to SpongeBob.
